I just played this in 2024. So much fun!

I really like the initiative of having full, playable commercial games on Newgrounds if you’re a supporter. This idea could truly be a game-changer for how people support Newgrounds!
Yes, I hope more gamedevs join the initiative or at least NG motivate them to do it.
Be sure to try out the Android version of this game, it's much better there. This feels like the pocket version of it.
I’ll just complain about the difficulty curve in this version; it’s way too hardcore already by level 4.
Edit: The definitive version is on Wii U. If you can, support us there! Thanks!
Fun game, but it has a serious glitch. When you use the Shoop da Whoop special and then click (or press a key) on an enemy, it causes a fatal glitch where you can’t shoot anymore, and even worse, you can’t die. So, the score can’t be submitted. The score still levels up, but the game becomes unplayable.
I really didn’t like the controls. I would’ve preferred if the action button was on the right side and the movement controls on the left, some people really need that setup, like A, D, and G.
That said, the level designs are really good. The art style reminds me a lot of Cave Story, and the music, well, it gets really annoying after a while. Some variety would’ve made the game much better (yes, I know you can disable it).
And well… it’s okay to receive hate reviews. The game made me angry, actually! Hard game, oh yeah. I’m not even going to bother trying to get the medals, keep that in mind for next time.
Glitch
On the Final Boss, somehow, I got completely out of the platform, and now I’m falling endlessly into a black abyss. You should definitely check if something’s wrong with the code. I think it happened when the robot attacked me.
I finally completed this on normal level!
The game is so damn long and hard!!! Ether, Ether and more Ether... and the Sword that recovers HP are the key to winning. One of the best games I’ve seen in Flash, both in animation and style, though the coding isn’t groundbreaking. The ending felt like it had a story that never really went anywhere. Please, add a small random story for the next one!
I’ll say, I mainly just used 5 attacks, the rest aren’t really useful. If you’re making another game, add more variety in monsters so we’ll need to use the other attacks. Oh, and healing zombies should be killable, like in Quake with that big one who recovers a ton of HP.
AWESOME!
This is damn challenging…
This must be one of the best games ever! It totally reminds me of Castle Crashers, but in a battle arena. I’ve always loved this character style, ever since Dad’n Me. The game is pretty much perfect, nothing to complain about. Hooray for the Medals! Such a great feature that makes the game more interesting.
Simple but awesome, very helpful!
