Guys, I found a solution to the Error 1722 problem, I messaged both sonucais and tom fulp himself, and here's hoping said solution gets posted, or automated by the next ng player update (somehow)
I've tried to install the flash player that came with the Player, but it's giving me the "Internet Explorer has latest version" message. I'm pretty sure I don't have the flash player installed anymore. I checked.
I got a reply from tom fulp everyone. He is aware of the solution I found, and besides looking into other possible flash player solutions, he said he'll pass it down to the other guys. Here's hoping it'll be implemented by the next ng player update

Sorry, i have Newgrounds player downloaded and also the settings enabled, but when i click "Launch in Newgorunds Player" it does not work, i even reinstalled and installed the new version and nothing happens, and by not working i mean that the player does not even load

To solve the error 1722 problem, you'll need 7zip installed for this (tried it with winrar, it don't do it). Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\newgrounds\newgrounds player, right click the .msi included, go to 7zip, open archive. scroll down until you see a data1.cab file, and drag that to your desktop. open the cab file, drag the file inside it to your desktop. Right click it, open properties, navigate to compatibility tab, checkmark the compatibility mode box, set the drop down menu to windows vista, click ok. Now you run the .exe file you took from the cab file, and there you go, Error 1722 problem SOLVED!!!!!
Im not sure if people still reads this blog entry at all but you can make a news post, link it in the forums and I can edit and link to it aswell.
So if none of that works like it's for me and you don't care about your pc security,
1) find some torrent with Adobe Flash Player 32.0.0.445
2) install all files from there especially install_flash_player_ax.exe using windows compatibility mode with windows 7.
Work's just fine but as I said it's not very safe

@FlowKen9 @Sonucais People probably still read this blog post, it just doesn't contain a solution that actually works for them, so they keep going to the forums and asking again and again, ad nauseam. The one that worked for me required a mix of mms.cfg editing, finding the Active X browser plugin's executable (not the MSI version) via the Wayback Machine, and running it under Windows 7 compatibility mode.
Since I see some mods are finally getting completely sick of fielding the question, I'm guessing it's just going to become a staple of the site until either or both Ruffle's emulation or Newgrounds Player's installer field every user's possible edge cases.
Also, might want to warn people against deleting the contents in %appdata$/Macromedia/Flash Player without backing them up first, as it contains game save files and the like that people might not be comfortable losing.
I'm an actual idiot and if someone could make/link a vide tutorial showing how to do this stuff, since I can't read.

I did everything, but the same message keeps appearing: "Newgrounds player.exe stop working" what I need to do in this case?

I'm sorry but I literally suck with this stuff, even if I understand almost everything, when it comes to practice I literally have no idea on how to do it. I feel dumb for that but nothing I can really do about it. I spent few hours reading all the posts and comments on the forum since I found this page, but really now is more than 1 hour that I'm on it and the player doesnt even start. It asks for flash player updates but my computer says that I already have the latest version and then nothing happens. I even made a ticket on Newgrounds forum about it. I should say even that I'm using Opera as Browser, I guess... It's almost 6am here and my brain is literally melting, can I ask for more support? Sorry for asking but I really don't know how to make it work. Thank you <3
Please help me if there are some faults I am using the XD translator I speak Spanish the problem I have is that I do not understand English much and I do not know which of all is my solution in short my problem is that when I have the adoble flash player installer It tells me that my microsoft browser has the most recent version of flash player and when I enter the newgrounds player it tells me that I don't have the plugin and I tried to do the mms.cfg but it still doesn't work
every time i try to run the newgrounds player ts message appears "Newground player requires the adobe flash plugin. would you like to install it now?" with a choice for yes or no. I've already clicked yes 3 times but nothing happens.

The one with the MMS doesn't work for me anymore, it keeps saying I gotta install flash.

Nothing worked for me. As the NG Flash Player works for Internet Explorer, I tried to install it, I can't install it, but that's my problem. I hope that by May they get a PPAPI version of the Player.
