Then just create it yourself. Create the file and paste the following inside:
#Move this file to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
EOLUninstallDisable=1
EnableAllowList=1
ErrorReportingEnable=1
SilentAutoUpdateEnable=0
AllowListUrlPattern=*://*.newgrounds.com
AllowListUrlPattern=*://*.ngads.com
AllowListUrlPattern=*://*.ngfiles.com
AllowListUrlPattern=*://*.ungrounded.net
@MisterMisterWasTaken @Sonucais Is this supposed to be in a txt file or something else tho
Yes, it's just plain text but the file extension is .cfg
Try with this https://www.joycot.com/downloads/flash/mms.zip
@MisterMisterWasTaken @Sonucais @Sonucais Ok just tried it and it didn't work. Still displays the same icon. Is there something I'm missing or?
@MisterMisterWasTaken @Sonucais @Sonucais No I mean. The icon when the flash player loads
As far as everyone knows, with that file on those two folders (worked with just one with me) should be fine. This works with the Newgrounds Flash Player on Newgrounds.
@MisterMisterWasTaken @Sonucais @Sonucais 1. I was referring to the newgrounds flash player when I said that.
2. I pasted it onto the System32 directory too and it still doesn't work.
Wish I known what it's happening! :( OK, just in case, try this...
- Go to Control Panel
- Click Flash Player (32b)
- Delete every config/parameters you can (just in case)
- On the tab Playback press Peer-assisted Networking Settings by Site
- Add uploads.ungrounded.net
- Download the Flash Player Uninstaller on the bottom of this post
- Close all your browsers
- Use Flash Player Uninstaller
- Restart your computer
- Uninstall NG Flash Player
- Download it again and reinstall it
@LoayAqi the mms.cfg solution worked fine for me. :) Windows 7 64-bit.
Thanks for posting this Sonucais! Was hoping the NG Player wouldn't be affected, but alas... this came right in time though. Replace tactic workin' perfectly!
@HerbieG @Sonucais I tried pasting the file you uploaded and even removed the suspected Windows update, yet I still cannot launch any flash games with that method. I'm on Firefox 83, Windows 8.1.
The problem might be Firefox, are you trying to play the content on the browser? I know it works with Newgrounds Flash Player but unsure with browsers.

This might help you with Firefox:

I installed the Pale Moon browser, I got even earlier version of the browser installed (29), yet I still cannot run flash games in it.
@CreeperFace047 @Sonucais Well I wanna play Madness Project Nexus. I try to install ruffle but I have no clue on how to use it.
https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/592473/format/flash?emulate=flash
If does not work fine, download https://uploads.ungrounded.net/592000/592473_MadnessGame_ULTIMATE.swf and open it with https://www.joycot.com/downloads/flash/flashplayer10.exe
@CreeperFace047 @Sonucais It works, tell me what you did!
Newgrounds does have ruffle installed. You can force it by adding "/format/flash?emulate=flash" after the original link of the submission.
If it does not work, just open the game from the Desktop Flash Player (Flash Player plugin (the thing that died), Flash Player (executable) and Ruffle (Flash emulation for websites) are three different things!)
@CreeperFace047 @CreeperFace047 The Newgrounds Flash Player is a Flash Player (executable) that automatically opens the game without downloading it. I think it also have integrations with Newgrounds API.
@Sonucais Ah, so when it comes to downloading swf what do you recommend?
Just right click the link and click Save link as... If you want the SWF (this is a Flash movie/game) on your computer you'll have to view the source of the page submission and search for ".swf". There you will find the full swf file direction. To view the source of the game just Control+U and press Control+F to search ".swf".
Works and I HATE MICROSOFT FOR THAT
I am not understanding... i have to delete my updates?
If the mms.cfg method doesn't do it, yes.
@Sonucais I literally don't have flash. I can't download it any more
Thanks Pal, now i can play my fav FL games, Greetings from Argentina
Is it possible to do a step-by step guide for the better solution for people who have very little idea how to work with Flash? All I really want is the ability to keep playing games.
Hello GoldenHunter24, read again and tell me where are you stuck. Read the comments too, they might have your answer.
@Toast927 That's what i did... then it refused to install Flash Player 32 or rather it coughed up an error. Will try that config file solution now....
HerbieG
I tried your solution, but it did not work. The problem is not caused by a Windows update, but by a Flash latest update. Do you have any idea how can I uninstall it? I even tried to remove Flash and reinstall it with disabled updates, but somehow my browser still says that the latest update is from today, so it is being blocked every time I try to use it.
Sonucais
I'm pretty sure it's all about few Windows Updates "Security Updates for Adobe Flash Player". However, try the other better solution that has been updated on the blog entry.
